Project Brief
For the first part of the Package Of Nothing project we carefully defined the process to ensure that we have completed adequate research and considered our concepts fully before we proceeded to final iterations. After all the research and carefully considering each concept, we selected a concept to make a package that represents that “nothing” in some way.

Package
For this package concept I was inspired by the articles I found that stated that affection is like a
form of medication, in the sense that it can mentaly heal you and make you feel better. There is
also the fact that it is essential to everyone, it is essential for children to develop properly, and
for adults to live a normal life. Lack of affection can have lots of negative effects , so making this
product kinda like a daily vitamin that you can take varying doses depending on how much you
need that day.
For the type face I think that a script or handwritten font is more natural and can portray
emotions, for affection I wanted it to be soft and rounded to help show its effect.
For the colors I wanted to stray away from the reds because i feel like they have a heavy
association with just love, and it also has a lot of negative emotions attached to it, so instead I
went with a soothing lilac for the main label to give more of a soft feel. With soft pink hearts
because love and affection go hand in hand. For the bottle itself I wanted it to stand out so I
made it a grape purple that is friendly, with a hint of mystery or magic. Where the dark purple in
the package gives me a sense of passion, and loyalty. Over all the color purple is associated
with being emotional and sensitive, even though these are generally seen as negative it thinks
this works for this brand as there are technical packaged emotions and feelings.
